An Effervescent Partnership Shriners Children’s celebrated an exciting new partnership with Swire Coca-Cola ® and Associated Food Stores in late 2023. The special campaign was defined by two features. From November 1 through December 31, participating Associated Food Store locations featured Coca-Cola displays promoting their partnership with Shriners Children’s. In addition, participating Associated Food Stores hosted register campaigns benefiting Shriners Children’s. From December 6 to 19, employees at these stores asked customers to consider donations of $1, $5, or $10 at checkout. Shriners Children’s relationship with Swire Coca-Cola extends beyond retail. Director of Independent Supermarkets at Swire Coca-Cola, Kimberly Snider, has an extremely personal relationship with Shriners Children’s — as a former patient. Kimberly first became a patient of Shriners Children’s when she was 2, after being diagnosed with a spine deformity. She underwent her first spinal fusion at 7 and a second spinal surgery in her early teens. Together with the register campaign, Swire Coca-Cola’s engagement resulted in more than $25,000 in support of Shriners Children’s. The organization has committed to continuing the partnership in 2024.
