Lucia Pulido’s connection occurred as happenstance — resulting in more than two decades of engagement.

Decades of research demonstrate that humans are intrinsically generous. The act of giving has positive physiological and psychological benefits, igniting joy. Each donor to Shriners Children’s was inspired to generosity through a personal experience. For some, like Martin Oehler, a connection to community and family legacy established a longstanding commitment to the kids we treat. Others, like Kimberly Snider, experienced Shriners Children’s care and compassion as patients, and choose to rally their organizations to support patients and families today.

And, of course, donors have shared time and time again that they are inspired by the children and families featured in our commercials. In all, more than 1.4 million donors responded with generosity in 2023, generating more than $546 million in support of Shriners Children’s mission and vision.
