AnnualReport2020

To fully realize the benefits of NACOR participation, we improved data collection and automated reporting. In late 2019, our medical informatics team, in conjunction with the AEC, made improvements to the electronic medical record to allow anesthesia providers to document outcomes more easily. By putting the data we receive from NACOR to work, Shriners Hospitals for Children can ensure delivery of care of the highest quality. Giving Every Patient the Attention and Care They Deserve The staff of Shriners Hospitals for Children is committed to giving each patient their full attention, listening to their goals and dreams and doing all they can to ensure that every child who comes to Shriners Hospitals receives the care needed to recover to the fullest extent possible, and have a full, productive life. In addition to providing medical care, our staff helps each patient and family to understand the complexities and implications of the child’s medical condition. We are proud of taking the time needed to help our patients develop the confidence and self-esteem needed

Shriners Hospitals for Children is pleased to have been a part of changing, influencing and improving their lives, and looks forward to continuing these efforts far into the future. Some have said that Shriners Hospitals performmiracles. It’s not that the care provided – whether it be any of a range of therapies,

or a surgical intervention, or creation of a prosthetic or orthotic device – is a miracle. It’s that our staff doesn’t give up, believes improvement is possible, knows what

kind of treatment to offer, and spends the time and

effort necessary for each patient.

to overcome their challenges and move into the adult world successfully, with grace and strength. In 2019, Shriners Hospitals provided care for 145,608 patients, including 57,138 new patients who now know the unique brand of hope and

healing that can only be found at Shriners Hospitals for Children.
