of which enable our nurses and other clinicians to spend more time focused on patient care needs. In August 2020, the medical affairs team adopted the Nursing Grand Rounds structure and process and launched two additional programs, Bite Sized Learning and Medical Grand Rounds. Additionally, in April the NEC launched FOCUSED™ on Clinical Excellence. This program highlights the exceptional work of our interprofessional colleagues across Shriners Hospitals for Children’s health care system and further supports additional opportunities for system- wide collaboration in the care of our patients. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the NEC hosted four Nursing Grand Rounds presentations that had more than 150 staff members in attendance at each program, reaching across all of our locations and four different time zones. Our exceptional presenters exceeded our expectations and received favorable feedback for highlighting their topic’s applicability to daily practice, their expertise and our potential to modify current local and system-wide structures and processes. The Nursing Executive Council would like to extend a special note of appreciation for the Nursing Grand Rounds Headquarters support team, as well as our amazing presenters from many of our locations, for their tireless efforts and dedication to nursing and patient care excellence. Below are the topics that were presented: » February 2020: Shriners Hospitals for Children — Portland, Maggie Gould, MSN, RN, CPN/Trauma Informed Care » June 2020: Shriners Hospitals for Children — Philadelphia, Kristin DiTommaso, RN, BSN, CRRN/Good Life and Healthy Mind (GLAHM Camp) » August 2020: Shriners Hospitals for Children Medical Center — Lexington, Jennifer Gibson, MSN, RN/FOCUSED™ on the Future: Shriners Hospitals for Children Preceptor Program
