REMEMBERING ILLUSTRIOUS SIR HARRY REITER In February, Shriners

International and Shriners Hospitals for Children lost a dear friend and noble, Harry Reiter.

Many of us knew Reiter through his photographs and role as Imperial Photography Committee Chairman, charting the recent history and events of our fraternity and philanthropy. From Imperial Session, sporting events and solemn ceremonies to formal Divan portraits and lighter moments, he covered it all. Harry’s extensive body of work is a permanent and important record of our organizations, and reflects his passion for his art and pride in being a Shriner. An active Mason and Shriner for over 50 years, Harry was a Past Potentate of Lu Lu Shriners in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania; a member of Concordia Lodge #67 F.& A.M, Lehigh Consistory, Scottish Rite 32nd Degree; and an Emeritus Member of the Board of Governors of Shriners Hospitals for Children — Philadelphia. He was also affiliated with many other organizations where he shared his time and talents. In addition to being the chairman of the Imperial Photography Committee, Reiter was a team photographer for the Philadelphia Eagles for more than 35 years, and proudly showed his Super Bowl Championship ring to friends, family and fellow Shriners, and even allowed them to try it on. He is survived by his wife Peggy; son Drew (Rachael); and was the beloved “Poppy” to granddaughter, Haven.
