Shriners clowns could be umpires and make it fun, Harlem Globetrotters-style. The Fun and Fellowship Competition was established to support and motivate nobles and temples
in their quest for good, safe fun. Nobles submitted ideas for ways to have fun – both activities that were currently available as well as completely new ideas. Then, 15 finalists made short videos that were posted on social media. Winners were chosen by popular vote. “Based on participation, this competition was a wild success,” said Harrison. “From the number of visits to the competition website to the number of votes, nobles showed their commitment to the fraternity and their strong desire to enjoy fun and fellowship, even during a pandemic.” MEET THE WINNERS Adapted an existing event Gary Tristram, Tunis Shriners. iPledge : The iPledge program challenges our membership and the community to take ownership and influence change. Collaborating with a local organization, we helped gather and record pledges against bullying, racism and discrimination, which were broadcast on iHeartRadio. More than 290,000 individuals took the pledge, all while learning about Shriners and our mission. New activity/event Scott Gates, Sharon Shriners.
