Shriners Hospitals for Children Open The 2019 Shriners Hospitals for Children Open was held in Las Vegas from Sept. 30 through Oct. 6. Kevin Na emerged defeating Patrick Cantlay on the second hole of a sudden death playoff. TPC Summerlin, a gorgeous, award-winning course, provided a wonderful setting for nobles and their families to gather, share stories and spread the word about the amazing impact our health care system has on the lives of children and families. The young people who served as standard bearers, each representing the Shriners Hospitals for Children location where they receive treatment, did a fantastic job as patient ambassadors while enjoying the unique experience of seeing a professional golf tournament from inside the ropes. Also on hand to share their stories and participate in various ways were our National Patient Ambassadors, Madelyn and Cristian. Our well-known young spokesman Alec was also at the Open, where the aspiring sportscaster presented his new show, Off the Green with Alec. victorious from a field crowded with top athletes,

East-West Shrine Bowl The East-West Shrine Bowl is a special football tradition supporting an even greater cause. Since 1925, the game has benefited Shriners Hospitals for

The game kicked off at 3 p.m., and was broadcast live on NFL Network. The East team was led by Tampa Bay Buccaneers inside linebackers coach Mike Caldwell, and the West was led by Atlanta Falcons offensive assistant coach Ben Steele. It was an exciting game and the highest-scoring Shrine Bowl since 2006, as the East squad carried home a 31-27 victory. What makes this contest especially impactful is a game-week tradition that takes place off the field – when players and coaches make a visit to the local Shriners Hospitals for Children.
