Focused on Our Mission The mission of Shriners Hospitals for Children is to provide high quality pediatric specialty medical care in a supportive environment, offer excellent educational opportunities for medical professionals and to improve medical knowledge through innovative research efforts. The staff of the department of medical affairs is dedicated to fulfilling this mission. The department of medical affairs strives to ensure our patients receive the safest, highest quality care efficiently while maintaining a family- friendly environment. To that end, the department develops, implements and oversees policies and care management programs designed to strengthen best practices, promote accuracy and efficiency, and ensure quality care and quality patient outcomes.
